Run Away

So, what does a writer do on a night where he seems rest is far from his body? He writes! Enjoy and share!

Run Away

She lies there thinking in her head
Of day she’ll never forget
She keeps on playing it back
Full of nothing but self regret
She hopes she’s making the choice
And not him being the king
Decisions aren’t an easy thing
When it comes to what she is seeing

In day like today that she’ll never get back
The wind scoops her up pushing her back
She’ll fly away far but not to here
It’s in her nature to be in fear

She’ll hold onto, Nothing
She’ll grasp onto, Nothing
And in the end it’s all she’s got
Run away now before you’re caught

She tells herself things she’ll never forget
Until the days pass then she regrets
Why she did what she did, she don’t know
She ran away fast, too far from her home
Whirlwind sent her to place in her brain
Luckily he’s still here, maybe it’ll be ok
She can’t help feeling she’d be better off
If all of this shit would just quit and stop

In day like today that she’ll never get back
The wind scoops her up pushing her back
She’ll fly away far but not to here
It’s in her nature to be in fear

She’ll hold onto, Nothing
She’ll grasp onto, Nothing
And in the end it’s all she’s got
Run away now before you’re caught
