Copper Trees

Once upon a time, by the sea
When she was near, here believing
We danced underneath the copper tree
Matter of time before the lightening

Seems I lived in her guile
Heard healing takes awhile
Well right here is where we fell
Falling free just for a spell

Once upon a time, by the sea
When she was near, here deceiving
We sang underneath a copper tree
Didn’t take long for the lightening

Save face, bury all that is pain
Underneath yellow leaves and salty rain
A moment shared is one you can’t lose
Bury me deep within these copper roots

Once upon a time, seems facetious
Deciding what will just please us
Alone beside this damn copper tree
Lightening struck this travesty
